"Bat Mitzvah Crashers" is the ninth segment of the first season of The Mighty B! that aired on May 17, 2008.

Synopsis

Bessie and Penny start going to Bat Mitzvahs, but get carried away.

Plot

Bessie is sharpening her pencils when Penny asks if Bessie would like to pet an orangutan at her neighbor Zanni's Bat Mitzvah. Penny proceeds to explain the concept of Bat Mitzvahs to Bessie.

The girls have so much fun, looking at an orangutan in diapers, eating plenty of food and taking a picture with Zanni. After Zanni's Bat Mitzvah is over, Bessie and Penny overhear of another happening soon.

Bitten by the Bat Mitzvah bug, the girls proceed to go to as many Bat Mitzvahs as possible around San Francisco, pretending to be cousins from Tel Aviv of the Bat Mitzvah girl so they don't arise suspicion. They continued until they were late for a meeting, and consequently marked as absent, to Bessie's horror.

With Bessie and Penny's Honeybee attendance dwindling and neither earning a badge in two weeks, the girls both swear that they will never go to another Bat Mitzvah, until they heard about Chelsea's, who just so happens to be Portia's cousin. The duo try to resist temptation, even doing the Honeybee handshake.

That night, Bessie wakes Penny up from her slumber and wants to go to Chelsea's Bat Mitzvah with her. Penny is at first reluctant, but Bessie reassures Penny this will be their last Bat Mitzvah, a last hurrah of sorts. Convinced, Penny and Bessie proceed to enter Chelsea's Bat Mitzvah with the help of The Hippie, Happy and Ben.

The duo proceed to enjoy the festivities, having fun on surfboards, eating pastries and swimming in a fish tank, while also being careful that Chelsea doesn't spot them. Bessie and Penny witness Chelsea harshly berating Portia for sitting at the head table, causing a dejected Portia to cry. Concerned, Bessie and Penny both rush over to counsel and comfort her.

In doing so, however, Chelsea catches Bessie and Penny where she chases after the three for crashing her Bat Mitzvah. While Bessie, Penny and Portia trying to avoid her. Chelsea comes close to catching the girls until a giant snowball falls on her, courtesy of Ben. Portia gets back at her cousin by saying "Hey, Chelsea! Your hair's, like, totally freezing!"

Now at home, the girls are enjoying coffee and cookies at Hilary's Café. In the end, Bessie and Penny swear to never go to another Bat Mitzvah ever again, that is until Hilary informs her daughter that Bessie's Honeybee Big Sister has invited her to her own upcoming Bat Mitzvah. Penny and Portia each assure Bessie it's different if you're invited as the episode ends.
