I'm Chai Gallagher, and I know you know I'll keep you in the know.
Chai Gallagher is San Francisco's local news reporter. She usually appears when any major events occur, such as Bessie's protesting against zucchinis in "Super Secret Weakness," Bessie's cursed middle name causing chaos in "Name Shame" and the release of the video game Raspberry Shortcake Space Attack V in "Dang It Feels Good to Be a Gamester."
She appears to be a trusted source of news in San Francisco, having her own special news report. Chai has a cynical lean when spreading news, not taking children seriously for example. A later episode reveals Chai is also an actress.
Little is known of Chai herself, although she seems somewhat accomplished at her job, as in "Name Shame" she has her own "special news report" alongside her name.
While reporting, she has a tendency to be cynical, such as subtly mocking fans of Raspberry Shortcake Space Attack by telling them to "grab their imaginary friends." Otherwise, she is to the point and blunt, stating the police would find the "low down dirty kanga-napper" alongside any accomplices ("Penny Hearts Joey").
She appears in a non-speaking cameo in "Ben Appetit," which shows she also works as an actress. Chai appears less frequently in the second season, but makes one speaking appearance in "Dogcatcher in the Rye." In that episode, Dannah Feinglass supplied her voice in place of DeLisle.
Chai has light brown skin, black hair and green eyes. She wears a red sweater with a lighter red and tan shirt underneath in addition to a long black skirt. Chai also has red lipstick, a white pearl necklace and black high heels.
