Dannah (pronounced like "Donna")[1] Feinglass (born April 22, 1975, in Port Washington, New York), also known as Dannah Phirman, is an improvisational comedian and actress. She was a member of Respecto Montalban, a long-running improv team at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in both New York City and Los Angeles. On The Mighty B!, she provided the voice of Penny Lefkowitz in addition to writing a few episodes.[1]

Career

Feinglass teaches sketch comedy writing and improv, and has performed in two-person shows like Eye Candy (with Danielle Schneider), which went to the 2002 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and Paddington Station (with Paul Scheer), a parody of a British children's show in which postal workers rummage through people's mail in search of heartwarming lessons and edibles. She and Scheer won a 2004 Nightlife Award for Automatic Vaudeville, called "the best variety show in New York City" by Time Out New York. Currently in Los Angeles, she's working on a two-woman show with Schneider titled Let's Get Awkward.

Feinglass was a cast member on Fox’s MADtv from 2000-2001, where she notably portrayed Angelina Jolie, Liza Minnelli, and Shirley Temple. She was tempered. For three years, she hosted Movie Junky, a show (on the Burly Bear Network) in which she would often wear a costume of some sort when she would interview celebrities--for example, a Star Fleet uniform when talking to an actor from a Star Trek movie, or a cheerleader's outfit while covering a football movie.

She's been in several small films, including Terrorists and Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story, both released in 2004. She made an unsuccessful TV pilot, Roommate Wanted, in 2002. Other TV credits include TALKSHOW with Spike Feresten, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Upright Citizens Brigade TV show and VH1's Best Week Ever, where she is a regular. She voices Becky Botsford/WordGirl in the PBS KIDS animated series WordGirl, as well as Penny, the side kick to Bessie Higgenbottom in Nickelodeon's The Mighty B! (where she wrote three episodes during its first season) and provides the voice of Zaria on Tak and the Power of Juju.

Feinglass has also forayed into video games, voicing Avina and Gabriella Daniels in the Mass Effect franchise (2007 to 2017) in addition to Yulie in the White Knight Chronicles series of games (from 2008 through 2010).

During the 2010s, Feinglass portrayed Narge Hemingway in Newsreaders (2013 to 2015), Leona Carpeze in The Hotwives (2015), Missy Mills in Black Monday (2019), Lulu in American Princess (2019) and Carol in Veronica Mars (2019). Dannah is married to Mike Phirman of the comedy duo Hard n' Phirm.
