Now this may sting juuuust a little.

The Doctor/Vet[1] is a minor character in The Mighty B!. A doctor,[2] he usually works as a veterinarian but on occasion a dentist as well.

It is hinted that the Doctor/Vet is not certified to work in medicine, as his diploma was mail-ordered and he performs unorthodox treatments on his patients. His veterinarian practice is located at Happy Pet Vet, while he practices general medicine at Cheery Chump's Doctor's Office.

He practices as a dentist, general practitioner and veterinarian in separate buildings next to each other, with this alternating as the plot demands. Bessie and Happy are each patients of his. The Doctor/Vet is voiced by Rob Corddry.[3]

Personality[]

The Doctor/Vet has a friendly tone when speaking with patients, but he can also be obsessive; if a patient refuses to have their booster shot, he will run after them with his nurse in tow.

He appears to be either forgetful or careless, as he has difficulty remembering Bessie and Happy's names (calling the former "Bossy" and the latter "Hoppy.") Doctor/Vet calls Bessie "gal" or "lady" because of this.

An example of his carelessness is seen in "What's the Frequency Bessie?," where Doctor/Vet gives Bessie a hastily done tooth filling and quickly ejects her from his office so he can see his next patient. Later, in "B-Chip," he mistakenly implants Happy's identity chip in the dog's brain as opposed to the intended area (behind the knee), showing Doctor/Vet's incompetency.

His dubious credentials as a doctor and questionable expertise (i.e., putting a flash light in Happy's butt) is also a running joke in the series. Doctor/Vet mentions the risks of Happy's surgery to Bessie after having already performed it ("B-Chip").

Physical appearance[]

Doctor/Vet is an overweight light-skinned man who is balding, having brown hair only on his scalp and above his ears. He wears the traditional white coat historically worn by doctors, in addition to brown pants and black shoes. Underneath the coat, Doctor/Vet has a colorful sweater comprised mostly of separate shades of green, as well as a black necktie. His left eye is blue, while his right eye is gray; a close-up implies it is a glass eye.
