See you in the funny pages, copper!
Due to their physical similarities to the girls, Captain Stonewall mistook Bessie and Penny as the two men, putting them in prison. However, they eventually manage to escape.
Marbles McGee and Scooter Doogle (better known by their surnames) were, in their young adulthoods, convicts at Alcatraz serving a life sentence (it is never revealed the reason as to why). However, they managed to escape one night in 1963 through the use of a hot air balloon. Captain Stonewall, Alcatraz's guard, failed to find them and thus held resentment against the two ex-cons.
Believing Bessie and Penny to be McGee and Doogle themselves, Stonewall arrests the girls under this assumption. When Happy breaks in to help them escape, he gives "McGee and Doogle" another life sentence.
At the very end of the episode, McGee and Doogle are seen in the present day, now old men who operate a locksmith business together. Their store sign shows it was opened in 1963, the same year they escaped Alcatraz. After witnessing Happy running off leash, McGee proclaims him to be a bad dog.
McGee and Doogle are both light-skinned men. Bespectacled McGee had a muscular frame when younger, while Doogle has always maintained a heavy weight. McGee and Doogle's hair colors as young men were orange and brown, respectively. McGee sported a five o'clock shadow whereas Doogle had stubble on his chin. Doogle wore a standard, black and white prison outfit, whereas McGee had a gray t-shirt, black pants and shoes in addition to a prison hat.
As elderly men, McGee now has white hair while Doogle's is gray. McGee has evidently put on weight since his years of escaping prison. Additionally, McGee has decaying and crooked teeth, a black hat, black shoes and blue jumpsuit with white trim. Doogle uses an old-fashioned hearing aid, showing he now has hearing loss. He wears a tattered green shirt, brown pants and black shoes.
- Their full names are stated by Captain Stonewall.
- Doogle has no dialogue, however he is heard laughing in the scene where McGee calls Captain Stonewall "copper."
- McGee and Doogle are loosely based on Frank Morris, Clarence Anglin and his brother John, who successfully escaped the prison in 1962. However, it is not known whether the threesome survived the ocean or drowned.
